Peak Mailing/Shipping Week of the Year is Here; Idaho Post Offices Share Some Savvy Shipping Tips
It’s All Hands on Deck at Idaho Post Offices; Fully-Staffed Post Offices and Managers in Lobbies Will Greet Customers to Enhance Customer Experience
IDAHO — It’s a week-long event of epic proportions. Dec. 16-22 is projected to be the busiest mailing, shipping and delivery week of the year, according to Idaho postal officials, who say they’re prepared for what they like to call the Super Bowl of shipping. USPS expects to deliver more than 28 million packages per day.
“We’ve hired more than 100 seasonal workers, extended retail hours at seven locations every Saturday before Christmas, fully-staffed Post Offices with managers in the lobbies to assist customers, delivering packages seven days a week, and expanded the delivery windows for packages to include early morning and evenings,” said USPS District Manager Laura Hubrich, who reminded customers they don’t have to visit a Post Office to conduct most transactions.
Hubrich shared 10 savvy shipping and mailing tips to help Idahoans mail conveniently this holiday season.
