MARSING, ID — Due to a fire that occurred in the conjoined building next to Marsing Post Office on February 28, 2020, Marsing Post Office operations will be temporarily moved to the Homedale Post Office in Homedale, ID. Customers needing to pick up parcels or any mail requiring a signature, may retrieve their items from the Homedale Post Office beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
Post Office Boxes will remain accessible at the Marsing Post Office through Tuesday, March 3rd. However, arrangements are being made to temporarily move Post Office Box mail to the Homedale Post Office beginning Wednesday, March 4th, until further notice. The Homedale Post Office lobby offers 24 hour access to Post Office Boxes, but Marsing customers will first need to visit the retail counter during retail hours to retrieve a key and their new temporary Post Office Box number to access their mail. Marsing Post Office Box customers should continue to use their Marsing PO Box address, as this is a temporary arrangement until Box mail service can be restored at the Marsing Post Office.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary change may cause our customers,” said Marsing Postmaster Marnie McNeil. “Efforts are underway to reestablish service at the Marsing Post Office as soon as possible.” McNeil wants customers to know that they can avoid the line for mail pick-up at the Homedale retail counter by requesting parcel redelivery at www.usps.com/redelivery.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
