Background:

Russell J. Thouvenot is the 39th person to earn the distinction and title of Postmaster since the St. Louis Post Office was established in 1804.

Russ is responsible for mail delivery and retail sales at the St. Louis Post Office which delivers to more than 490,000 mailing addresses at 35 station and branch facilities with over 1,800 employees.

He began his career with the Postal Service in 1981 as a Part-Time Letter Carrier in Belleville IL.  Russ has advanced through positions of increased responsibility in his 38 years with the Postal Service including most recent position of Manager, Operations Programs Support. 

Russ looks forward to the challenges as the St. Louis Postmaster position and is committed to excellent service.
