USPS is Hiring for Career & Holiday Positions

Job Fair Saturday, September 28 at the Chicago International Military Service Center Facility

Chicago, IL — The U.S. Postal Service is hiring for several positions and the Chicago International Military Service Center, 11560 West Irving Park Road is hosting a Job Fair in the cafeteria of the North Building this Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Postal Service is the largest employer of Veterans and is consistently ranked first in Job Performance for Government Agencies.

Current openings include Holiday Clerk Assistant starting at $17.19 per hour, City Carrier Assistant starting at $17.29 per hour, and Mail Processing Clerk at $17.19 per hour.  In addition to holiday season job postings, career positions are available for Tractor Trail Operators at $44,525 - $59,533 annual salary paid bi-weekly and Automotive Technicians at $44,525 - $59,533 annually paid bi-weekly.

To be considered for the positions you must meet the following requirements:

  • 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years of age with a high school diploma
  • United States citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. territory
  • Recent employment history
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
  • Safe driving record (if applicable to the position)
