Hiring for the Holidays: Postal Service Looking For Help

ILLINOIS/MISSOURI — In anticipation of another record holiday mailing season, the Postal Service is hiring more employees to work at processing facilities and Post Offices throughout the Gateway District, which covers most of the southern parts of Illinois and parts of Missouri. No experience required, and training is provided.

The open positions include, Holiday Clerk Assistant, City Carrier Assistant, Mail Handler Assistant and Postal Support Employees Mail Processing Clerk, and other opportunities available now.

Some positions are longer term positions and could lead to permanent placement with the Postal Service. There is a variety of hours offered as well as locations. The hourly wages range from $16.55 to $18.15 with varying shifts and days off.
