Background:

Tenia Thompson is the new Postmaster of the Lombard and will be responsible for mail delivery and retail sales at the Lombard Post Office.

She began her career with the Postal Service in 2001 as a Letter Carrier. She has advanced through positions of increased responsibility including and this is her second time as Postmaster for Lombard.

Thompson looks forward to the challenges of the Lombard Postmaster position and is committed to excellent service.

“It’s an honor being selected for this position,” said Thompson. “I look forward to serving our local community.”

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
