Proposed Relocation Westchester, IL Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to Westchester addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Westchester, IL Maywood-Westchester Branch currently located at 10240 W. Roosevelt Rd., Ste A, Westchester, IL 60154-2577. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to an upcoming loss of lease, Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within a 2.5 mile radius of the current Post Office. The desired size of the new facility is approximately 7,500 square feet.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Westchester IL Maywood Branch Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
