St. Charles, IL Post Office Building Renaming Ceremony

Act of Congress designates facility as “Veterans of the Vietnam War Memorial Post Office.”

What:

A St. Charles IL Postal Facility will have its building named in honor of Vietnam War Veterans at a ceremony, Wednesday, July 17 at 2:30 p.m. The program is open to the public.

Who:

On May 7, 2024, legislation to designate the Post Office building located at 616 East Main St. in St. Charles, Illinois, as the “Veterans of the Vietnam War Memorial Post Office” building was signed into law by the President. This legislation was introduced in the United States House of Representatives by Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi.

Joining Rep. Krishnamoorthi at the ceremony will be USPS Illinois 1 acting District Manager, Jeff Drake, Post Office Operations Manager, Greg Harris, Mayor of St. Charles, Lora Vitek and Col. Wayne Kirkpatrick (ret) Rolling Thunder, Chapter 2.
