Act of Congress designates facility as “Veterans of the Vietnam War Memorial Post Office.”
ST. CHARLES, IL — The East St. Charles Post Office at 616 E. Main St. will have its building named in honor of “Veterans of the Vietnam War Memorial Post Office,” Wednesday, July 17 at 2:30 p.m.
On May 7, 2024, legislation to designate the Post Office building located at 616 East Main St. in St. Charles, Illinois, as the “Veterans of the Vietnam War Memorial Post Office” building was signed into law by the President. This legislation was introduced in the United States House of Representatives by Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi.
Joining Rep. Krishnamoorthi at the ceremony will be USPS Acting District Mgr. Illinois 1, Jeff Drake, Post Office Operations Manager, Greg Harris, Mayor of St. Charles, Lora Vitek, Col. Wayne Kirkpatrick, Rolling Thunder, Chapter 2 and Elizabeth Rudsinski, Postmaster of St. Charles.
