USPS offers alternate locations for retail operations
SAN PIERRE, IN – The Postal Service will temporarily close the San Pierre Post Office, located at 104 Eliza Street, 46374, beginning Aug. 8, 2023, due to safety concerns regarding the building conditions. Street delivery and PO Box delivery will not be affected.
Customers can access retail services and package pickup at the LaCrosse Post Office, 16 W. Main St., 46348. During the time the LaCrosse Post Office will serve San Pierre customers, their hours of operation will be extended on Saturdays. Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, until further notice, the LaCrosse Post Office hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Retail services are also available at the North Judson Post Office, 305 Keller Ave., 46366. Hours of operation at North Judson are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Currently, there is no information on when repairs to the San Pierre Post Office will be complete.
