Background:

The Terre Haute S&DC is one of the first 31 facilities of this type the Postal Service has opened across the country and is a critical part our 10-year Delivering for America plan to make the Postal Service an efficient, high-performing, world class logistics and delivery provider.

During the tour, you will have an opportunity to capture b-roll or still photographs inside the facility so your audience can see firsthand the investments USPS is making in our community.

The S&DC has new machines and facilities to help our organization provide faster and more reliable mail and package delivery here in Terre Haute. This facility has been fitted with new package sorting equipment and enable customer service and local commerce opportunities for Same Day or Next Day delivery. It also has renovated bathrooms and breakrooms for Postal Service employees. Finally, the Postal Service’s S&DCs have the infrastructure needed to support the deployment of the Postal Service’s new electric delivery trucks and the charging stations needed to power them.
