USPS Celebrates in Santa Claus

Over 4.5 billion processed this holiday season

SANTA CLAUS, IN — The United States Postal Service will celebrate a Milestone Delivery to celebrate more than 4.5 billion mailpieces and packages processed across the country so far this holiday season.

Postmaster Joshua Graham will personally make the symbolic delivery on Tuesday, Dec. 9, to the Christmas Store in Santa Claus.

Media will have the opportunity to film and interview the Postmaster and the package recipient.

The Postal Service’s network transformation and modernization efforts have boosted national daily processing capacity to 88 million packages a day – up from 60 million last holiday season.

USPS will continue to mark milestone events throughout its peak season, which kicked off earlier this fall and continues through New Year’s Day.
