Palmyra Post Office to Temporarily Close
USPS offers alternate location for mail pickup and retail operations
PALMYRA, IN – Due to planned maintenance and refurbishment, the Postal Service will suspend operations at the Palmyra Post Office, 805 Main St. NE, 47164, beginning Saturday, Mar. 7, 2026.
During the temporary closure, Palmyra customers may access P.O. Box mail and obtain retail services at the Hardinsburg Post Office, located at 52 E US Hwy 150, Hardinsburg, IN 47125. Hours of operation at the Hardinsburg Post Office are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. The Hardinsburg Post Office is 9.5 miles from the Palmyra Post Office location.
Street delivery to Palmyra addresses will not be affected.
Currently, the anticipated reopening date for the Palmyra Post Office is Monday, Mar. 16, 2026.
