Final Decision Regarding Winchester Post Office Location Located At 203 3rd St.

WINCHESTER, KS — In accordance with 39 C.F.R. § 241.4, this is the United States Postal Service’s final decision with respect to the Postal Service’s proposal to relocate retail services from the above-referenced Post Office to a new location within the area defined within Winchester, KS. The Postal Service has initially identified 300 Main Street, Winchester, Kansas.  If this location is not adequate or an agreement cannot be reached with its owner, the Postal Service will consider other sites.

A relocation is necessary due to safety concerns at the former Post Office. The Postal Service anticipates providing the same retail services at the new location as were previously provided to our customers at the prior location.Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue with current services until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.
