Proposed Relocation of Dexter KS Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will send out a postcard for the Dexter Post Office located at 118 N Main St., Dexter KS 67038-9998.

Background:

Due to safety concerns with the building in Dexter KS, the Postal Service is now looking for a new potential relocation of retail service to a yet-to-be-determined location within three miles of the 118 N Main St. location. The Postal Service will be considering the following options: a) lease an existing building that is about 770 SF with 9+ parking or b) lease land of about 11,000 SF to place a postal owned building.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the Cambridge Post Office located at 208 W Main St. until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.
