McQUADY, KY — The McQuady Post Office has been temporarily closed due to conditions at the current location. The Postal Service will announce a reopening date when plans are finalized.

Post Office (PO) Box customers can access their mail at the McQuady General Store, 6762 S HWY 261. The PO Boxes are located outside the store facing Hwy 105. Customers will have 24-hour access to their PO Boxes.

Retail services are available at these nearby locations:

• Hardinsburg Post Office, 234 S Main St., Hardinsburg, 40143; Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Falls of Rough Post Office, 13647 Falls of Rough Rd., Falls of Rough, 40119; Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
• McDaniels Post Office, 9501 Hwy 259, McDaniels, 40152; Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

McQuady customers may request street delivery by contacting the Hardinsburg Postmaster at 270-756-2119 or the Falls of Rough Postmaster at 270-257-8297. The Postmaster must approve the mailbox placement, in advance. Customers are responsible for mailbox installation.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
