“We are very proud of the service we have provided our customers since our community was devasted by the tornado”, said Mayfield Postmaster Joshua Jenkins. “I’m especially proud of our employees, who have continued to do their jobs in difficult and unusual circumstances since December. They are truly ‘Delivering for America’”.
Delivering for America refers to the Postmaster General’s 10-year plan, which seeks to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence for the Postal Service.
The West Broadway Post Office location was severely damaged by the December 10, 2021, tornado. Currently, there is no information on when repairs to this location will be complete.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
