MANITOU, KY – The Postal Service will temporarily close the Manitou Post Office for the installation of a new trailer to house the retail operations and PO Box mail. Beginning Thursday, May 26, 2022, Manitou customers may access mail and obtain retail services at the Madisonville Post Office.

The Madisonville Post Office is located at 117 W. Center Street Madisonville, KY 42431. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

USPS anticipates reopening the Manitou Post Office within 60-90 days.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
