Media Open House: Louisville Processing and Distribution Center

The U.S. Postal Service will host a behind-the-scenes tour of holiday operations at the Louisville Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC). The Postal Service is built for the holidays with affordable, reliable shipping services to help its customers send more joy this season.

This is a rare opportunity to see how the mail is processed. It will feature a tour led by postal officials along with holiday tips about the best ways to ship mail and packages during the holidays.

  • Hiring 10,000 employees for Peak Season
  • Deploying more than 348 new package sorting machines
  • Increased daily processing capacity to approximately 70 million
