Proposed Relocation of Dwarf, KY, Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service mail a postcard to the impacted Dwarf community, announcing a proposed relocation of the Dwarf, KY, Main Post Office located at 9325 KY Highway 476, Dwarf, KY, 41739. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to uncorrectable safety issues at the former location, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within two (2) miles of the former location. The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following:

(a) an existing building, approximately 700 square feet, with dedicated parking or (b) a land site to lease, approximately 8,500 square feet, in which the Postal Service can bring in a postal-owned modular building.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Dwarf, KY, Main Post Office Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC, 27498-1103.
