Proposed Relocation of Lebanon, KY, Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will mail a postcard to the impacted community, announcing a proposed relocation of the Lebanon, KY, Main Post Office located at 101 E Main St, Lebanon, KY 40033. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to severe space deficiency at the current location, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within the 40033 ZIP Code. The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following:
(a) an existing building, 900-6,000 square feet, with dedicated parking or (b) a vacant land site to purchase or lease, approximately 11,000 square feet, in which the Postal Service can bring in a postal-owned modular building.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Lebanon, KY, Main Post Office Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
