Tangipahoa and Boutte Post Offices to Resume Operations Monday, March 28

LOUISIANA — The Tangipahoa and Boutte Post Offices will resume operations on Monday, March 28. Services provided by the facilities were temporarily suspended because of damage from Hurricane Ida.

The Tangipahoa Post Office, located at 270136 E. Railroad Ave., will resume operations at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Retail hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Saturday, closed Sunday. The Post Office Box lobby is open 24 hours.

The Boutte Post Office is located at 13322 Highway 90. It will resume operations at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Retail hours: 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. The Post Office Box lobby is open 24 hours Monday through Friday.

We appreciate the patience of our customers in Tangipahoa and Boutte, as we sought to recover from the storm and restore service as quickly as possible.

Cut Off and Raceland Post Offices, which also had services temporarily suspended due to the storm, resumed operations in February.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
