WISNER, LA — Due to safety concerns, retail and delivery operations will be temporarily suspended effective Friday, Nov. 18 at the Wisner Post Office, 130 Fort Scott St., Wisner, LA 71378.

Until repairs can be made to the postal facility, Wisner customers can pick up their Post Office Box mail, retrieve packages and obtain retail services at the Sicily Island Post Office, 201 Peniston St., Sicily Island, LA 71368.  

Retail hours at the Sicily Island Post Office are 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.

We apologize for this inconvenience to our customers and hope to have the office fully functional again as soon as possible.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
