Landry Named Labadieville Postmaster

Manages USPS Retail & Delivery Services for Labadieville

Labadieville Postmaster Letty Landry

LABADIEVILLE, LA – Labadieville Postmaster Letty Landry came to the Postal Service in 2006 with an excellent customer service background as a bank teller in nearby Pierre Part, LA. And she comes to the Postmaster position with excellent skills from being a Retail Associate at Patterson and Pierre Part Post Offices and an Officer In Charge (OIC) at Pierre Part Post Office. "Customer service is something that comes naturally to me.”

"I gained most of my knowledge (to become a Postmaster) as an OIC," she says. "I trained and worked closely with the employees. I developed excellent skills to serve the community efficiently and effectively.”

"I also served as a Safety Ambassador, Combined Federal Campaign coordinator, and in the community, I have been a softball coach and serve in my church. I am putting it all to good use with serving my customers here in Labadieville."

She says she has four employees, 1,016 rural deliveries, 316 Post Office Boxes, and one retail unit.

"Things are constantly changing," she says. "The mail volume has declined tremendously, but the parcel volume has increased. Technology has improved and retaining employees has become a huge focus.”

'We deliver for America by ensuring we deliver every mail piece daily to the correct location. We have become a seven-day operation no matter the weather or pandemic."

Landry is married with one daughter. She says she loves to travel with her family and entertain friends and family in her home.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this friendly community," she says with a smile. "I am also blessed to have had great mentors and a support system from family, friends, and co-workers, which has helped make this opportunity possible."
