GLOUCESTER, MA — The Gloucester Post Office is extending passport hours throughout the month of April, giving residents more opportunities to apply for a U.S. passport. Passport services will be available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. until noon. The Gloucester Post Office is located at 15 Dale Ave., Gloucester, MA 01510.
These extended passport hours are designed to help travelers prepare for upcoming international trips by offering convenient walk-in service and assistance with the passport application process. Customers can submit applications for a passport book or passport card, have their documents reviewed by trained staff, and take advantage of a streamlined application process.
Applicants need to bring the following original documentation:
A recent color passport photo (2” x 2” in size) is also required and can be taken on site for $15.
Customers should download the passport application at www.travel.state.gov, and complete it in black ink beforehand. Do not sign the application.
All applicants must appear in person, including minors.
Adult passport books require payment of $130 to the Department of State, and for minors under 16 the cost is $100. In addition, an acceptance fee of $35 (payable to USPS) is required.
