What:
The U.S. Postal Service and the Negro League Legends Hall of Fame (NLLHOF) will honor Henry “Hank” Aaron with a commemorative Forever stamp dedication event. This stamp celebrates the life and career of Aaron (1934–2021), a giant both on and off the field, who rose from humble beginnings to rewrite the record books while prevailing in the face of racism.

Background:
This historical NLLHOF East/West All-Star Vintage Baseball Game is being played in observance of Negro League Legends Hall of Fame week saluting the 91st year Anniversary of the Negro East-West All Star game, that took place in 1933 founded by Gus Greenlee. The game is played by former Minor League Baseball (MLB), Chesapeake Independent League, Tri-State Leagues, Collegiate, and 2023-24 high school graduates dressed in vintage attire appropriately representing the diversity of players who played in the early to mid-1900's.
Henry Aaron Forever stamps will be on sale and a special pictorial cancellation for collectors at the event. The special pictorial cancellation will be available at the Bowie Post Office until September 17, 2024.
