OCEAN CITY, MD – The U.S. Postal Service is proposing the relocation of the Ocean City Finance Station located at 408 Philadelphia Avenue, Ocean City, MD 21842-9996 within the boundaries of 30th Street to the north, South 2nd Street to the south, Atlantic Avenue to the east and Edgewater Avenue to the west.

The Postal Service is considering relocation because the town is looking to redevelop the current facility and will not renew the lease.

This project will allow the Postal Service to maintain retail operations for our customers in the vicinity for the long term. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to provide services at the Reeves Station facility until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the community, the Postal Service will be soliciting and considering input from the community and local officials.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
