USPS Considers Relocation of Baltimore Eastpoint Mall Finance Unit

BALTIMORE, MD – The U.S. Postal Service is proposing the relocation of the Eastpoint Mall Finance Unit located at 7761C Eastpoint Mall, Baltimore, MD 21224.

Relocation efforts are due to loss of lease with a new location to be sought within one mile of the current location.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, preparing the new location for use as a post office and then transitioning retail services to the new location. The Postal Service will attempt to occupy the current Post Office facility until the new location is operational.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the community, the Postal Service will be soliciting and considering input from the community and local officials.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
