Temporary Closure of the Hughesville Post Office

HUGHESVILLE, MD — Due to structural damage, the Hughesville Post Office, 15485 Prince Frederick Road, is temporarily closed until further notice.

Current Hughesville Post Office Box customers can retrieve their mail at the:

La Plata Post Office
100 Centennial St.
La Plata, MD 20646

Be prepared to show a photo ID when claiming your mail.

Retail Hours:
Monday – Friday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. until noon

Mail delivery in Hughesville will continue as normal. However, customers will be directed to the La Plata Post Office to pick up vacation mail, signature-required items, or oversized articles.

A timeframe for a return to Hughesville has yet to be determined.
