Manchester Maine – Planning to travel for the holidays?

Now is the time to plan for that holiday trip. To make it easier to apply for a U.S. Passport, the Manchester Post Office is now accepting passport applications, with no appointment necessary, from 8 am to 11:30 am and 2 pm to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

Just stop by the Manchester Post Office at 31 Readfield Rd between 8 am and 11:30 am or 2 pm to 4 pm any weekday. Postal clerks can even take your passport photo if you do not have one.

Postmaster Daniel Bilodeau says “With routine passport processing times of six to eight weeks, it’s never too early to start planning for that next vacation. And we’re here to help.” He cites USPS.com as an excellent resource for getting passport paperwork and locating other acceptance facilities across the nation. 

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
