Postal Schedule for Veterans Day Holiday

Select Number of Post Offices Open for Retail Service, No Regular Mail Delivery

DETROIT, MI— On Monday, November 11, 2019, the U.S. Postal Service will observe Veterans Day which is a federal holiday. There will be no mail delivery, however, a select number of Metro Detroit Post Offices will be open for full retail lobby service, including passport applications.

Customers are encouraged to drop their mail in blue street collection boxes, so they can be processed early the next day.

“We want to advise anyone with stamped or metered mail ready for delivery to drop this mail into a blue collection box instead of waiting to do so the following day,” says Detroit District Manager Karlett Gilbert. “This also applies to our business customers, many who will still be open during the holiday. The earlier in the day we receive the mail, the sooner we can send it on its way to its destination, especially as we move into the busy holiday season.”
The following Post Offices will be open on Monday, November 11 from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.:
