ROMEO, MI — For the 27th consecutive year, the Romeo, MI Post Office will continue a Valentine’s tradition which offers a unique pictorial postmark.
The 2021 cancellation highlights sweethearts in a ballroom dance pose expressing their love for the holiday with the words, “Celebrating Love on Valentine’s Day.”
“We have customers that have submitted requests each of the previous 26 years for an extra special message to their wives or children,” said Officer-In-Charge Danielle Boughner, Romeo, MI Post Office. “Requests for the cancellation over the years have come from more than 200 cities in 36 states. We’ve even had international requests from places like Taiwan and Japan.”
To receive this special cancellation (available until March 1, 2021), enclose your stamped, addressed cards in a larger envelope, and mail to:

“With more people at home this year, you can send an extra special sentiment through the mail,” adds Boughner.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
