Postal Service to host two Informational Job Fairs (Detroit, MI)

DETROIT, MI — Are you interested in employment with the U.S. Postal Service? USPS is hosting two Informational Job Fairs at the following locations, dates and times:

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  
Bloomfield Hills, MI Post Office
2050 South Blvd.
Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301

Friday, June 4, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Dearborn Main Post Office
3800 Greenfield Rd
Dearborn, MI 48120

The job fair will be a combination of drive-thru and walk-in.

We are hoping to recruit for all positions to work at various Southeast Michigan locations including as a City Carrier Assistant (CCA).  After 24 months, Carrier Assistants can potentially be converted to a Career City Carrier.

Positions start at $18.01 per hour. The employee will be required to work Saturdays and weekdays as needed. May include Sundays and holidays.

Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of documented driving experience.

To be considered for the positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or High School graduate.
  • Must be US Citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
  • Must pass a background check, drug test and pre-employment medical assessment.
  • Must reside within daily commuting distance of the position.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
