The U.S. Postal Service will hold a kickoff ceremony to celebrate the launch of USPS Connect, a new service which provides same-day and next-day delivery options for neighborhood businesses that need affordable solutions to reach their local customers.

USPS Connect Local debuted in 17 Southeastern Michigan Post Office locations on April 25, 2022.

Background:

USPS Connect is the Postal Service’s new approach to meet shippers’ evolving package delivery needs. Taking care of those businesses ultimately benefits all our customers.

It includes a set of four affordable delivery solutions that help businesses of all sizes meet growing consumer demand for fast delivery and convenient returns, including same-day delivery for USPS Connect Local packages that are dropped off at the back docks of designated Connect offices between 5 and 7 a.m., and next-day delivery for USPS Connect packages that are dropped off after 7 a.m. at those offices and no later than 30 minutes before their back docks close for the day.

USPS Connect Local provides same-day or next-day delivery service to businesses that drop off their packages at specially designated post offices, including 17 offices in the Southeastern Michigan area. Businesses will be able to save money and short-cut the shipping process by dropping off their USPS Connect packages directly to designated delivery offices.
