Proposed Relocation Remus MI Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is sending out a postcard for the Remus MI Post Office located at 302 W Wheatland Ave, Remus, MI 49340-9797.

Background:

Due to space deficiency at the current Post Office, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail services to a yet-to-be-determined location within three miles of the current facility. The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following: (a) an existing building that is approximately 770 gross square feet with 9+ dedicated parking stalls to relocate retail service or to lease land that is about 11,000 SF to place a postal owned building for retail service and expand the current building to keep carriers at the current location, or (b) lease an existing building that is about 4,600 SF with 20+ parking for both retail and carriers.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.
