Postal Service temporarily removes collection boxes due to possible civil event

Temporary action the result of precautionary security measures

SAINT PAUL, MN — Postal customers in Saint Paul will see some changes as the city makes security preparations for the potential upcoming civil events.

USPS blue collection boxes at four locations will be temporarily removed as a security measure to protect the mail and the public:

  • 20 12th St W, St. Paul, MN 55101
  • 395 John Ireland Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55101
  • 95 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55101
  • 175 Aurora Ave, St. Paul, MN 55103

These are temporary measures to protect postal property, employees and the public. The USPS blue collection boxes will be returned to their original locations when safe to do so.

Customers may find nearest collection boxes in service or post office location on the USPS website at:   https://tools.usps.com/find-location.htm.  

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. Customers may go online to usps.com or call 1-800-ASK-USPS for information about specific Post Offices.
