MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Out of an abundance of caution, the United States Postal Service has temporarily taken some of the blue collection boxes out of service in Minneapolis until further notice. The impacted locations are as follows:
Any mail placed in these boxes before removal has been accounted for and is in processing to its destination.
“The safety of our employees and the mail is our top priority,” said Minneapolis Postmaster William Jones. “These boxes will be placed back in their designated locations as soon as our Postal Inspection team deems it safe to do so.”

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank our customers for their understanding with this matter.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
