MINNEAPOLIS, MN — After hosting a well-attended soft opening on Tuesday August 1st, the Minneapolis Post Office held a Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening Ceremony today for its new hiring hub. The Postal Service proudly plays the role of connecting neighbors and the community to the nation. Under Delivering For America, the Postal Service’s 10-year plan, USPS is maintaining universal six-day mail delivery and expanded seven-day package delivery, stabilizing its workforce, and spurring innovation to meet the needs of our modern customers.

The Minneapolis Main Post Office has opened a one stop hiring hub to assist and expedite the hiring and onboarding process of potential applicants.

"The idea of developing a method to engage with potential future staff and to enhance the process for quicker outcomes is truly beneficial, not only for the organization but also for the applicants,” said District Manager Angela Bye. “The progress we've witnessed in these early stages of the initiative surpasses even our initial expectations."

To streamline the hiring process the Minneapolis Post Office hiring hub offers applicants the opportunity to ask questions prior to applying, apply onsite, take an assessment test, and then be fingerprinted on the spot. Hours of operation for the Minneapolis Hiring Hub are Monday – Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Postal Service is seeking to hire over 200 city carriers in the Minneapolis - St. Paul Metro area and a total of 750 city carriers, rural carriers, and clerks throughout the Minnesota – North Dakota District.
