Will take the Oath of Office and become the 30th appointee since 1921
Columbia, MO — On Thursday, January 9th, Bart Green will take the Oath of Office and be installed as the 30th person to earn the distinction and title of Postmaster of the Columbia, Missouri Post Office since 1921.
The installation ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the State Historical Society of Missouri, located at 605 Elm Street, Columbia, Missouri. Local officials will be in attendance.
Green will oversee postal operations within Columbia, Missouri. He is responsible for all mail delivery, retail sales and other customer service operations related postal products and services.
Green began his postal career in 1998 as a Central Forwarding Service clerk. He worked at a variety of offices over the years carrying mail, supervising, and gaining knowledge about postal operations. He has served as the Officer-In-Charge at the Buckner, Nevada, Excelsior Springs, Liberty, Blue Springs and St. Joseph, Missouri Post Offices. He also serves as the Area Vice President of the National Association of Postal Supervisors, covering Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
