Background:

Due to space deficiencies within the building in Holts Summit MO, the Postal Service is now looking for a new potential relocation of retail service to a yet-to-be-determined location within two miles of the 357 S Summit Dr. location. The Postal Service will be considering the following options: a) lease an existing building to move both retail and carriers to about 6,000 SF with 44+ parking, b) lease land of about 11,000 SF to place a postal owned building for retail only or lease an existing building that is about 990 SF for retail with 16+ parking and acquire about 4,700 SF building for the carriers that has about 36+ parking, or c) purchase land of about 55,000 SF to build a new Post Office.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current location until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.
