SCOTT, MS — Following a 45-day period inviting customer feedback and U.S. Postal Service review  of all public comments, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services from the Scott, MS Main Post Office at 1 Cotton Row, Scott, MS 38772 to a new location as close as possible to the current location.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were provided to customers at the Scott, MS Main Post Office. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue services at the Shaw, MS Post Office at 100 Faison Street, Shaw, MS 38773 until the replacement  facility is open and operating as a Post Office. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Post Office is closed on Sunday.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Scott, MS community, the Postal Service properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.
