MAIL WAS PROTECTED FROM FIRENO DELAY TO DELIVERY
Laurel, MT — Damage from a fire in the front lobby has forced the Laurel Postal Service to temporarily move retail operations out of the current building.
Delivery operations are not impacted and customers will get their normal mail at their normal time.
The Postal Service is in the process of exploring alternate retail services until the building can be assessed and necessary repairs made.
Most retail services can be provided at the following nearby locations:
Downtown Billings Post Office
2602 1ST AVE N FL 1
BILLINGS, MT 59101-2366 59101 2366
Mon-Sat 8:00am - 5:30pm
Billings Post Office
841 S 26TH ST
BILLINGS, MT 59101-9600
Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm
Post Office Box operations are currently suspended. Post Office Box mail will be distributed at the rear entrance of the building through a caller service. Please bring proper ID.
This is an emergency suspension of services, not a permanent closure. Additional details will be provided as they become available regarding the resumption of services.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and are working to quickly find a solution,” said Postmaster Heather Mitchem.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
