Building Safety Concerns Force Baker Post Office to Temporarily Relocate

Mail Pickup, Retail Operations in Nearby Ekalaka

BAKER, MT — The Baker Post Office located at 130 S 1st St W, Baker, MT, will temporarily suspend operations due to building safety concerns.

Beginning June 4, 2025, all operations will be relocated to the Ekalaka Post Office at 116 Church Ave, Ekalaka, MT, 59324.

The Ekalaka Post Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM. The Ekalaka Post Office will operate with extended hours on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for mail pickup. The office is closed on Sundays.

Customers on Highway Contract Routes in the area will continue to receive mail delivery as usual.

"The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority," said Post Office Operations Manager Tabitha Stephenson. "As a precaution, we have temporarily suspended operations at this location. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate our customers' understanding."
