LEWISVILLE, NC — The U.S. Postal Service will relocate the Lewisville Main Post Office to a yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the former site. The current location is too small for the Postal Service’s expanding operational needs.
We are in the process of searching for a new facility that will allow the Postal Service to offer the fully continuity of services while remaining convenient for customers. The Postal Service does not anticipate any impact to mail delivery to local residents and businesses.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Postal Service will not hold in-person community meetings. The public is invited to submit feedback via mail to:
Attn: Lewisville, NC Main Office Relocation
United States Postal Service
P.O. Box 27497
Greensboro, NC 27498-1103
Customers in ZIP Codes 27023 will be mailed information regarding the proposed relocation and directions submitting comments.
“The Postal Service greatly appreciates the input and support it receives from the community,” said Richard Hancock, Real Estate Specialist for the Postal Service. “We look forward to selecting a new location will allow us to continue to offer great service to our customers.”
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
