GREENSBORO, NC — Blake A. Denny was officially sworn in as the Greensboro Postmaster in a ceremony at the North Carolina District Office on June 14.
District Manager Roselle Murrell administered the oath of office to Denny, who becomes the 29th Greensboro Postmaster.
“Greensboro already feels like home,” Denny said during the ceremony. “Greensboro customers have been very welcoming, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve them as the Greensboro Postmaster.”
Denny assumed the duties as Greensboro Postmaster in April 2023. He is responsible for Greensboro’s 11 Post Offices (five delivery stations, six finance stations), covering 200 city and rural delivery routes with approximately 550 employees.
“There is a great team in Greensboro who are committed to providing the best possible service,” Denny said. “We are going to continue to build on our successes, creating the modern Postal Service dedicated to Delivering for America.”
Denny started his career with the Postal Service in 2004 as a city carrier in Arkansas. He has held several positions since then, including as Supervisor of Customer Service, Post Office Operations Manager and Postmaster in Arkansas and Texas. Prior to moving to Greensboro, Denny most recently served as Officer-In-Charge in Sarasota, FL.
Denny was joined by his wife Lauren, two children and postal colleagues at the ceremony.
