Postal Service Continues Relocation Plans of Marshall Post Office

MARSHALL, NC — The U.S. Postal Service continues plans to relocate the Marshall Post Office, previously located at 100 S. Main St., to a yet-to-be-determined location within two miles of the previous location. Relocation is necessary because the former location was damaged beyond repair.

The Postal Service’s goal is to find a new location that is convenient for customers and suitable for our operational needs. Marshall customers in need of retail services can continue to visit the Weaverville Post Office, located at 270 N. Main St., until the new Marshall location is ready to serve customers.

Since the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact this decision has on our customers and the community, customer input will be sought and considered as we continue the relocation process. Marshall customers will be notified via signage at the Weaverville Post Office and through a local mailing about the opportunity to submit comments.
