Postal Service Moves Forward with Swannanoa Post Office Relocation Plans
SWANNANOA, NC — The U.S. Postal Service continues plans to relocate the Swannanoa Post Office, formerly located at 2133 US 70 Hwy, to a yet-to-be-determined location within one mile of the former location. Relocation is being considered because the previous location was damaged beyond repair.
The Postal Service’s goal is to find a new location that is convenient for customers and suitable for our operational needs. Retail services are available at the Asheville-West Grace Post Office until the new Swannanoa location opens.
Since the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact this decision has on our customers and the community, customer input has been sought and is considered as we continue the relocation process.
