MOUNTAIN, ND — Following a community meeting and U.S. Postal Service review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail and P.O. Box services from the Mountain Post Office, located at 1324 Main Avenue, to the Mountain Community Center located at 286 2nd Avenue.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were provided to our customers at the existing Mountain Post Office. The Postal Service plans to continue retail and P.O. Box services at the Caviler Post Office until the Mountain Community Center is operating as a Post Office

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Mountain, ND, community, the USPS properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
