The bill, sponsored by Congressman Christopher Smith (NJ-4), signed into law by the President on March 23, 2018, will officially dedicate the postal building located at 1300 Main St., Belmar NJ as the Dr. Walter S. McAfee Post Office Building.
A special ceremony including elected and postal officials, family and friends will be held Friday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. to unveil the official plaque to be displayed at the Belmar Post Office.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
