FORT LEE, NJ — As part of the Postal Service’s commitment to community input, postal representatives will present a proposal to relocate the Fort Lee Main Post Office at an October 10, 2019 meeting at 7 p.m. in the first floor Council Chambers at the Memorial Municipal Building, 309 Main Street, Fort Lee NJ. The public is invited.
At the meeting postal officials will provide a comprehensive overview of the proposal and invite public input. The Postal Service is considering relocating retail services from the current 229 Main Street location to a portion of a new building being constructed on property immediately behind the existing Main Post Office and adjacent to the Borough’s new parking deck.
Written comments are being accepted up to 30 days after the October 10 public meeting. Comments must be in writing, identify the post office by name, and sent to: David Rouse, United States Postal Service, Facilities, Real Estate & Assets, 475 L’Enfant Plaza SW - RM 6670, Washington, DC 20260-1862
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
